I’m finally back in Minneapolis, after being away for approximately 74 days. It began snowing almost as soon as I got into town last night. I already feel more useful than I did in Grinnell. The only thing I was useful for there is watching a million hours of Simpsons DVDs and eating my mother’s lavishly-prepared meals.

School starts in a week and I’m going to try and cram a lot of reading into the next few days. I also have two New Yorkers to catch up on, and a Harper’s. This leftist propaganda isn’t going to read itself, you know.

You know what sucks? Not being able to sleep. I wish I were a morning person, but I’m not, and yet I’ve been wide awake since seven. I guess I could do yesterday’s crossword, or read. Or somehow read and do the crossword at the same time.
