I’ve been to seminars
I’m sitting at my desk in a newly spartan bedroom, having just spent a couple hours dumping clothes, books, CDs, and other miscellania into various boxes and taping them up and writing on them with magic markers. I’m driving to Mpls tomorrow with the first load of crap for the new apartment. Moving, and packing in preparation for moving, always makes me nostalgic and therefore sad, and so I figured I would dial it up a notch by listening to Speed Of Sauce and drinking beer. First the white album, which I don’t think I’ve listened to in its entirety in probably nearly five years. Then the AH split, then various non-album tracks on a CDR simply labeled The Last Days. Now I’m halfway through the I Want A Record Label Too EP and I’m (not) looking forward to “Waitress” because it always makes me emotional. I often wonder why time didn’t just go ahead and stop in 1998.
Probably because then, we’d all be stuck with this hair.
