You should put next to this list the list of words you ended up using instead. Learn to spell!

I’m still trying to figure out what Teddy Ruxpin, Milan Kundera, and Thundercats have to do with each other. This could be the greatest thesis ever.

If this is only partial, what didn’t make it? The words that were actually misspelled? Telling the whole story is 99% of comedy.
This and other tips available in my forthcoming book, 10 Ways to Ruin a Joke. With a foreword by Dane Cook. Knopf, $49.95. June 2008 (384 pages).

Wow, your thesis contains a lot of words. It must be very long and full of insight. :)

Congrats on turning in your thesis? Or did you spend all your time compiling this list and not actually finish it?

From this list I would have to guess that it’s an Anthropology thesis on bourgeois youth culture in the late 1990s, early millennium. Am I right?

Except for the Anthropology bit, yeah. You’re pretty much spot-on.

Remember your “name your indie band” post? I think you could come up with approximately 684 choice combinations from this list, with a few alterations.
Up first? My vote is on “Doortrick Def Leopard” and “Kundalingus”.

How do Hawkeye and Arby’s get into a thesis? I remember going to HyVee and getting plenty of Hawkeye Vodka when I was low on cash towards the end of the semester during my college years.

…ok, is it wierd that I check your blog sometimes?? anyway, I love that [the] Foxhead is on the list — I believe that I could write a thesis on that topic alone. I am also struck by the inclusion of both Leinenkugel’s (when is the Leinie’s Red coming to Raleigh anyway???) and Yuengling (the south’s version of Leinenkugel’s). I should add that I was unable to spell either of these beer brand names without first consulting your list.

Stef: I think it’s weird that anyone at all checks my blog sometimes.
In my thesis, I posit that Yuengling is the Leinenkugel’s of the East Coast. For reals.

oops. In my southeasternUS-centric frame of mind I forget that we don’t claim all beers that are not sold in Iowa. In any case, nice observation indeed, on your part. I recommend trying Yuengling out of a can when you can.
