I’m still in if you’re still in.

Remember what I just said about really good movies making excellent moviemaking look easy? The same goes for Juno.

Either that, or I’ve just been an especially sentimental pile of choked-up moviegoer lately.

Go see “There Will Be Blood.” No sentimentality there. And it doesn’t look like it was easy to make. It is pretty awesome. Unless, you want the sentimental, in which case you have seen the movie I would suggest.

That one is next on my list. Though I keep wanting to call it There Will Be Blood For Oil. It just makes more sense.

That one looks like a winner.

Juno was a great movie. However, I will never forgive Diablo Cody for calling Iowa City the “armpit of the midwest”, in that annoying book of hers ‘Candystripper’. Anyone who calls IC names is on my shit list.

Whoops, my original post didn’t show up. Black Book is another good one I saw on DVD. Directed by Paul “Showgirls, Basic Instinct” Verhoeven. A Jewish woman infiltrates the Nazis as a spy in WWII for the Dutch resistance. Pretty goddamn good. It is also in Dutch and German.

I found it unrealistic that Juno would be a Mott the Hoople fan.

“All the Young Dudes,” when I heard it in the movie, just made me think of “Clueless” – this because I am a tot.
