The other day, Lifehacker asked its readers to submit photos and descriptions of their “go” bags—the increasingly ubiquitous backpacks, messenger bags, man-purses, and sundry other satchels and totes that mobile urbanites carry. I am no exception, and as I looked over the many and varied contributions, I began thinking about the things that I can hardly ever leave the house without stuffing into my bag. I dutifully assembled and catalogued these items along with the shoulder bag I usually use to carry them, and took a photo. I thought I’d preview my submission here before I send it to Lifehacker.
