Different kinds of light
Just now, on a whim, I typed in the URL to my to see if it still worked. It does, sort of … but not really. But while perusing the links in its sidebar, I came across my old from late 2004. It was a pitiful attempt on my part to emulate my , and a good repository for photos whose pseudoartistic aspirations disqualified them from the party shots generally found in my gallery.
It just blows my mind that some server somewhere, at no cost to me, is still dedicating a tiny sliver of its space to some photos of mine I’d completely forgotten about (and, in case, some blog entries which have since been rendered redundant by this very site).
It’s simultaneously unsettling and reassuring. This is the first time 2004 has felt like A Long Time Ago.
(And Chicago so far away.)

I wonder if the new 2050 will have red and green colored lights at the door.

I’m trying to remember what I told zeb that made him react like that, but I’m not having much luck yet.
